I will certainly miss Diane. She was always there to lend a hand whenever I needed help at work. I enjoyed just stopping by to chat with her whenever I was downtown. She always had a great disposition. Rest In Peace dear friend.

I worked with Diane for many years at the McKimmon Center and she was truly a mentor to me on how to juggle over 2000 events held annually. When I arrived in the early 1990's she was still typing the weekly setup sheet with carbon paper and typewriter. I was trying to convince her to use the computer, I asked her what if you make a mistake then you have to white it out or start over. Her response was "I don't make mistakes, and she wasn't kidding. (lol) She was very dedicated to what the customers needs were and always looked out for them to make sure their events ran smoothly. Many times the customer didn't know what they wanted, but Diane certainly did. She had a great knack of explaining to them how things should go and convincing them that she knew what was best. (Always a caring mother figure, even though she wasn't that old). I hadn't seen her since her days at McKimmon, but have thought about her often and how influential she was in my beginning years with McKimmon Center. I am so sorry to hear about her death, my condolences go out to Keith, Brooks and Courtney. She loved her family more than anything and always spoke about how proud she was of her children. I remember visiting her parents farm/garden and how her mother welcomed me and sent me home with enough vegetables for a year. She also gave me great tips on how to cook those vegetables as well. I know she is in a better place, and I pray for peace for all her family and friends.
