Frederick Kephart Obituary
Born on September 28, 1925 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late Walter George and Mary Georgianna (McGee) Kephart. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Oss and three brothers, infant John, Walter Galen and Harold C. Kephart. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Kephart was a 1943 graduate of Keyser High School and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed with Emerson-Pryne in Keyser, retired from the Celanese Amcelle Plant and was a self employed house painter. He also was a member of Boyce-Houser Post # 41, American Legion and Nancy Hanks Post # 3518, VFW, both of Keyser.
Surviving are his children, Gary Kephart, Patti Pattison and Dale Kephart and wife Peggy, all of Keyser; seven grandchildren, J.J., Robbie and Brian Pattison, and Steve, Liz, Adam and Molly Kephart and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser. Graveside military honors will be accorded.
