Gregory Alan Leach, 56, of Raleigh, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17 at his home. Greg was born on January 29, 1962 in Raleigh. He was the son of Grace Thompson Leach and the late Glen Wade Leach of High Point. Greg is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nita Rogister Leach, of Raleigh, his brothers; Glen Wade Leach Jr, his wife Beverly, and their son Glen Wade Leach III of Charlotte, and Wesley Edward Leach of Charlottesville, Virginia, his in laws; Jean and Bill Rogister of Tarboro, sister in law, Frieda Rogister Smith and husband Lee of Robersonville, nieces, Caroline Smith Pelletier, her husband Josh, and their son Banks, of Greenville, Sally Smith Grimes, her husband Travis, and their children Jax, Tilly, and Collins, of Battleboro and nephew, William Gray Smith, of Wilmington.

Greg was a graduate of North Carolina State University and was employed as a mechanical engineer throughout his career. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and he treasured lifelong friendships made with his fraternity brothers.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to a reception celebrating Greg's life at MacGregor Downs Country Club, 430 St. Andrews Lane, Cary from 4:00-6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Jimmy V Foundation or Combat Warriors, Inc.
