H. Perry Obituary

Mr. H. Paige Perry, 84, of NC Highway 87 North, Pittsboro, died July 2, 2006 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Paige was born April 8, 1922 in Chatham County, the son of Garland Coltrain and Mary Frankie AndrewsPerry. He attended and graduated from Pittsboro schools. Paige served his country in the 3rd Army during World War II. He worked as a poultry specialist with the NC Department of Agriculture, and retired after 30 years of service. Paige was a member of Pittsboro United Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid gardner who also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Dell Dark Perry; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy P. and Joe Piatt of Bahama; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Lisa Perry, and Tommy and Kelly Perry, all of Pittsboro; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a nephew, Jackie Perry and his wife, Mary Jane, of Pittsboro.
The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Paige Perry will be conducted by Rev. Ray Gooch and Rev. Claire Clyburn McKeown at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, July 5, 2006 at Brown's Chapel United Methodist Church, 355 Chicken Bridge Road, Pittsboro. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Pittsboro United Methodist Church, 71 West St., Pittsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be given to either Brown's Chapel United Methodist Church or to Pittsboro United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the care of Griffin Funeral Service and Cremation of Pittsboro.
