Horace Gilbert Poole, Jr., 77, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2014.
Born in Granville County on August 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Horace Poole, Sr. and Alice Elizabeth Babcock Poole.
A celebration of Horace's life will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM "until" at his residence, 3823 Manor Drive, Clayton, NC 27520.
Surviving are: his wife, Lorolyn Poole; sons, David Poole (Tara) and Steve Poole (Michelle), both of Fayetteville, Eddie Poole of Holly Springs, Jeff Freeman (Bridgette) of Burlington; brother, Richard Poole (Pamela) of Dana Point, CA.; sister, Beverly Jones (W.D.) of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Jessica, Austyn, Amanda, Lilly, Garrett, and Gage.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their compassion and support.

mr poole was a very good man he taught me a lot about life and being a man of responsbility the many years we worked together at harris teeter all my years i tried to conduct myself as a manager as i have learned from him RIP MR. POOLE
