Jacob Spain Obituary
Wendell
Jacob Lynn Spain, 16, of 611 Arista Lane, passed away suddenly on May 20, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center. Jacob was born on November 7, 1995 in Wake County to Garry Gordon Spain and Jennifer Smith Spain. Our beloved Son and Brother will be DEEPLY missed by all of his family and friends. His love for the Lord runs so deep that we know that he would not want this to be a sad time for all of us but it is. We as his family have to rejoice in the fact that he is singing and dancing in Heaven. He deeply loved his Church (Central Baptist), the FFA and the Football Team (East Wake High) and would want everyone to know that. Jacob s message to the world would have been I am Second, God is First. Please make sure that God is first in your life.
Funeral Service: 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Central Baptist Church, 11109 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591.
Burial: Central Baptist Church Cemetery
Surviving: Parents Garry and Jennifer Spain, Brother Colton Spain of the home, Grandparents Reverend Bobby and Betty Smith of Wendell, Edna Spain of Wendell, Great Grandmother Pearl Tessinear of Wendell, Uncles and Aunts Tim Atkinson (Allyson) of Wendell, Barry Spain (Angela) of Clayton, Cousins Rachel, Sam, Emily and Dillon, Numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Family and Friends
The Spain family will receive relatives and friends from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Central Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 11109 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591 and other times at the home, 611 Arista Lane, Wendell, NC 27591.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church Music Ministry (11109 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591)

To the Spain family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time & days to come. Its unfortunate that I personally did not have the opportunity to know Jacob well but WOW what an awesome kid I hear he was. You should be proud! I can't imagine your pain & emotions but I do know how it feels to lose a loved one, especially a young family member. I pray that each of you a & friends of Jacob find peace & joy in ALL the HAPPY memories during this difficult time. Stay strong in your faith (just as Jacob was)b/c the Lord will be with you forever and always. We sometimes ask, "why things happen?" In my heart I truly believe you will find an answer. If its other people living their life thru Jacob, becoming a better person, finding God, anything... you will find your answer!! Remember Jacob is FOREVER living and is with you more now than ever before. He lives in your heart and will watch over you wherever you shall go. Dear Mr and Mrs Spain,
I wanted to offer my Condolences on behalf of my family...I didn't know your son personally but my son went to school with Jacob and were also teammates on the football team. He's taking this very hard but will be attending tomorrow to show support. My heart hurts for your entire family on soo many levels. I pray that God continues to give you comfort and pray the kids of East Wake that knew Jacob will be comforted as well. You will forever be in my prayers. Jennifer, You may not even remember me but I worked with you at Carver and spent three years there with Jacob. I wanted to let you know that Jacob touched everyone he knew in a positive way. He had such a kind and gentle soul. He was a friend to everyone. I looked forward to seeing him be bop down the hall, bookbag swinging with a huge smile on his face everyday. This is so true for your Jacob. We are all so blessed to have been a part of his life. To Joshua he will always be his "mashed potato and bread" buddy. To Alyssa Jane he will always be one of those "other" big brothers she grew to know from a baby, and to me he will always be that big brown-eyed angel that was Jennifer's side-kick.
