Doug,

I was very saddened this morning when I learned of James' death. In my tenure with Ford Motor Co and also in my time at Crossroads Ford I knew James very well. He was always very knowledgeable about his job. He always had a smile and a positive outlook on life in general. James will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Regards,
Frank Leonard

I have so many good memories, especially from our 4 years in high school. James was always happy and laughing and had a joke ready. We studied together and were pals together and all the while he was more than just a friend - he was family, his father and my mother were brother and sister. Yes, he will be missed but because of our faith we can believe that he is now in a better place. God bless you, Retha, Doug, and Wayne and all of your families. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I worked with James from 2004 to 2008 and he was always the first person to work everyday, ready to greet you with a smile on his face, as you came in. He always entertained everyone with his stories and antics. He was a great man and will be missed dearly. My condolences go out to his family and just know he is in Heaven making everyone smile as he did in his time here on Earth...

I am heartbroken by this news. James would literally light up my office at BB&T when he came in to see me. It was always a pleasure to see him, and his positive attitude throughout such a difficult time was amazing. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Barbour family.
