Jay Williams Obituary
Jay graduated from high school in York, PA in 1957, F&M College in 1961 and completed his Master's and PhD degrees at Duke University. He taught in Michigan before returning as an associate at the Research Triangle Institute. Dr. Williams was awarded the state's highest civilian honor in 1984, the North Carolina Order of the Long Leaf Pine. After RTI, he taught criminology at Duke University and went on to teach criminology at NC State University into his early 80's.
Jay Williams is survived by his loving partner and best friend LuSan Hill of Durham and nephews, Jacques B. Williams and Jeffrey S. Williams.
Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army or the Food Bank.
