Anthony Lowell "Tony" Wildman

Surrounded by his family, Anthony "Tony" Lowell Wildman, age 79, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the Jasper Deaconess Memorial Hospital. Born on January 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Andrew and Phyllis (Crane) Wildman.

Lowell graduated from Shoals High School in 1965. In response to the national threats at that time, he promptly enlisted in the National Guard, serving for six years. He worked at RCA in Bloomington, IN, for 39 years until the plant's closure. While employed full-time at RCA, he also served as a reserve deputy at the Loogootee Police Department. After RCA shut down, he worked for AmeriGas/Blue Flame gas company for a decade.

Lowell treasured his moments on the family farm and took pleasure in working on his tractors. Another source of happiness for him was the time he shared with his grandsons. During their childhood, he loved attending their sporting events, and as they grew older, he took joy in learning about their lives, always remaining their most enthusiastic supporter.

Lowell married his wife, Peggy (Williams), in Shoals, on June 30, 1967. They were devoted attendees of the 39th Street Christian Church in Bedford, Indiana.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughter, Lorie Curry (Michael) of Bloomington; his grandsons, Jordan Canada (Jennifer) of Bloomington, Jacob Canada (Riley) of Nineveh, and James Curry (Katie) of Durham, NC; three great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; his sister, Elaine Cottingham; brothers-in-law, Curtis and Zelbert Williams; sister-in-law, Cyndy Williams; and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for Lowell will take place at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, 818 18th Street, Bedford, Indiana, 47421 on Friday February 13, 2026, with Pastor Seth Wisley officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals. Visitation will be held on Friday at Ferguson-Lee Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
