Gary Dean (Goldmine) Neukam
Gary Dean Neukam, 79 passed away peacefully on February 16 2026. He was a resident at Sycamore Care Strategies for nine years. He was born in Dubois County to Leland John Neukam and Rosa Marie (Tabor) Neukam on December 12, 1946. He attended Rutherford Township School. He was baptized in Christian faith. In his early years of life he worked at several wood factories in Jasper Indiana. Gary enjoyed the simple things in life, mowing grass, taking long car drives in the country, and sitting on the porch swing enjoying the company of friends and neighbors.
Survivors include one sister Linda Sue Thomas of Loogootee In, one sister-in-law Shirlene Neukam of LaPorte In, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Harold Lee Neukam, Roger Keith Neukam, Donald Eugene Neukam, one sister Beverly Ann Meeham, one niece Theresa Stoltmann, and one nephew Timothy Patton.
Private services will be held. A graveside on Feb 19 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery Shoals IN. The Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care has been entrusted with the arrangements.
