Ronald “Ronnie Joe” Tow, 79, of Shoals, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born July 21, 1946, in Shoals, he was the son of Wilfred and Clorus (Bateman) Tow.
Ronnie Joe graduated from Shoals High School with the class of 1964. He worked at Allsteel in Aurora, Illinois for many years.
Ronnie Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing, and lately he loved to read books on his kindle.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sister, Rosanne (Jim) Chandler; nephew, Jeremy (Dayna) Chandler; great-nephews, Eli Chandler and Noah (Emily) Larson; great-great-niece, Lucy Larson; children, Kim (Christina) Kirby, of Yorkville, IL, David Kirby, of Kenosha, WI, Leeann Games, of Barbourville, KY, Lynn (Connie) Kirby, of East Bernstead, KY, and Kenita Hernandez; granddaughter, Martie (Boyd) Cooper, of Barbourville, KY, and Natalie Hernandez; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Stan Day officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Humane Society, 507 N. Oak Street, Loogootee, Indiana 47553, or the Bedford Men’s Warming Center, 1414 H. Street, Bedford, Indiana 47421.
