William A. Fowler
July 23, 1941 - March 12, 2026
William A. Fowler, 84, of Shoals, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Born July 23, 1941, in Lawrence, Indiana, he was the son of Earl and Esther (Turner) Fowler.
William graduated from Scecina Memorial High School and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 4 years.
He married Patricia Bidwell on September 15, 1962, and she survives.
William retired from the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2007 after 41 years of service.
He enjoyed gardening, mowing his lawn, and having breakfast at Velma’s.
William was a member of the Shoals American Legion Post #61 and the Shoals Eagles #2442.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia; his children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three siblings; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; and four siblings.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial visitation will be held from noon until 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care at 431 High Street in Shoals.
