Sandra Mae Sherfick
October 30, 1951 - March 5, 2026
Sandra Mae Sherfick, 74, of Shoals, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her residence.
Born October 30, 1951, in Shoals, she was the daughter of Kenneth L. Sherfick and Violet Ruth (Holt) Sherfick.
Sandy married Patrick Hawkins on July 29, 2006, and he survives.
She worked as an Internal Auditor for SAIC. Upon retirement from SAIC, Sandy opened her own dog grooming business in Loogootee, which she operated for many years.
Sandra enjoyed crocheting, painting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Patrick; sister, Opal “Suzy” Mesarosh; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Kenny Holt, Donna Kent, Robert Sherfick, Brenda Jewell-Petty, Roscoe Petty, Osmo Petty, Viola Embree, Dianna Riker, Tammy Bledsoe, and Berta Davis.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will follow in Hickory Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 also at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Humane Society.
