Flat Rock, North Carolina - Jeffrey Scott Leidheiser passed away on May 24, 2022 in Flat Rock, NC. Jeff was born February 22, 1962 in Kinston, NC. He was a 1980 graduate of Kinston High School and attended UNC Chapel Hill graduating in 1984. Jeff began his career at Wachovia Bank, living in Fayetteville, Raleigh, Duluth, GA and Brentwood, TN. He recently retired from AIG in Nashville, TN and was settling in Flat Rock where he enjoyed playing golf with his brother, Steve, his Leidheiser cousins and friends. Jeff and Sharon traveled extensively in recent years, Cancun and Hawaii being some of their favorite destinations. Everyone would agree that Jeff never met a stranger, and he was loved by everyone that was blessed to know him.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Doris Leidheiser. He is survived by his sons, Grant Leidheiser and Reid Leidheiser of Brentwood, TN and the love of his life, Sharon Hatchell and her children and grandson; Matt, Cameron, Caroline (Jake) and little Ozzy. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Leidheiser (Lynn) of Cary, nephew Will Leidheiser (Allison) of Indianapolis, IN, niece Kate Kubacki (Alex) of Raleigh and Leidheiser cousins Henry, Margie, Ken, Janet, Linda and Diane.
A service remembering Jeff will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 at First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville, NC at 1 p.m. with a visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
