I had the priviledge of meeting Jesse at Four Corners. I have memories of discussing with Jesse any and everything related to our basketball, football, and baseball Tar Heels. Jesse was a kind and friendly young man. I offer my sincere condolences to his family.

The first time I saw you, would also be the last time I saw you, but your ready smile, engaging manner and boyish charm has remained with me through all these years and for me you will remain "Forever Young"

Jesse and I met at A Southern Season in 2004, and became extremely close after that. Even though I was never really able to spend time at home, it never seemed to affect our friendship. I'd come back to chapel hill to visit on breaks or holidays, and we'd always pick up right where we left off. He was a one of a kind person, and an amazing friend. Thanks for the amazing memories Jesse!

Jesse was generous, understanding, compassionate and kind... and if basketball was on- also very, very loud.
My son and I lived with Jesse for some time, and I never could have asked for a better roommate, beach trip companion, or friend.
I only wish we had had more time.

I have known Jesse since I was 11 years old. He was a good friend of my brother's and we will miss him dearly. Jesse was a great man, very creative and had a gentle soul. My prayers are with his family. You will be missed Jesse and never forgotten.

Jesse and I were roommates in Carrboro back in 2002. Jesse was one of the most genuine and good-natured people that I have ever known. I used to run into him a lot when I visited NC and it always felt like we hadn't missed a beat. We always had something sports related to talk about. I miss him a lot. My heart goes out to Jesse's parents, brother and his close group of friends down in NC. There are a lot of people that love him.

Jesse and I were childhood friends after he first moved to the NC. While our lives drifted apart after high school, I remembered and will continue to remember him as a smart and witty guy quick with a joke and quicker with a smile. -Frank Cole

We remember all the movies our son, Nathan, and Jesse made and the stories that followed. Those boys were certainly "creative"! We offer our condolences to the family and his friends.

We fondly remember Jesse growing up in South Africa and more recently as a grown man in North Carolina. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family at this time of loss.
