JoAnn Buxton Obituary
June 2, 1940 - August 19, 2022
Cary, North Carolina - JoAnn Moseley Buxton, 82, of Cary, NC passed away Friday August 19th. She was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC to Henry Clay and Josephine (Ella) Moseley. She graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School. She received a degree in Education from NC Wesleyan, and a Master's in Education Administration from Campbell University. Following her teaching career, she founded a consulting business, Confero Inc., in 1986 which is still in business.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Glenaire for their attentiveness and expert care. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Buxton III, her brother Wendell Moseley and her beloved dog, Amber. She is survived by her son Russ Buxton, her daughter Elaine Buxton Barry, her grandson Ethan Barry, and her step granddaughters Erin Barry Lewis and Laura Barry. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation or to the Salvation Army. A memorial service will be held Friday August 26th at 2 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 221 Union St, Cary Nc. The family will receive friends at the church parish hall immediately following the service.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met JoAnn at summer music camp at East Carolina University during our teenage years. I found her to be a very special person and a good friend.

Wishing you comfort and Peace. I worked for Ms. Buxton for several months taking her to appointments and helping around the apartment. I am glad I had an opportunity to meet her. She was kind, smart and loved her dog.
