Zebulon, North Carolina - John Zebulon Davis, 66, of Zebulon, N.C., was born July 20, 1955, and died Sep. 20, 2021. He was the son of the late Maj. Gen. Ferd Leary Davis, Sr. and Selma Ann Harris Davis. John is survived by his beloved wife of more than 25 years, Janet Stevens Davis; his two children, Brian Keith Davis (Nichole) and Susie Davis Concelmo (Casey); and three grandchildren, Cassidy Davis, Emerson Davis, and Geena Concelmo. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Joy Davis, Kathy Stevens, and Elaine Stevens and brothers-in-law Bob Matheny, John Crooks, Luther Stevens, and James Stevens. John was blessed with a large and treasured extended family of nephews, nieces, and cousins. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by siblings Leary Davis, Ann Matheny, and Susan Crooks. He was also predeceased by step-son Matthew Carlyle. A celebration of John's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 25, at Zebulon Baptist Church. A graveside service will immediately follow at Zebulon Cemetery with National Guard honors. A visitation will be held in the church parlor Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:45. Arrangements by Massey Funeral Home, www,masseyfuneralhome.com.
