I'll always be grateful for the opportunity Mr. Harris and your family gave me when you hired me in June 1982. I was a geeky 21 year-old, eager to prove myself as a mechanic with my fresh Wilson Tech education. Looking back, I'm not sure I would have hired myself, but you took a chance on me and opened a door of experience that was, and is to this day, one of the most valuable portions of my life!
You see, when I became a J.C. Harris employee, over time I feel like I also became an "adopted" member of the Harris family. I have enjoyed a relationship with you that exceeded just employer/employee because you were genuinely interested in my success, both professional and personal. You have been a supportive part of the highs and lows of my life for nearly 26 years.
Though I had somewhat lost touch with Mr. Harris in the last 12 years, his passing is like losing a favorite uncle, or a beloved "cuzz". You all are and have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Again, I am grateful to all of you for making me a part of your family.
