Katherine Donelle Fitzgerald went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 7th with her loved ones around her. She always lived life to the fullest and touched everyone she met.
Donelle was active in Special Olympics. She loved swimming, basketball, & bowling. She joined Team Donelle in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure for five years. She was a member of Communitas, and loved the Joy Class at Highland Baptist.
She is survived by her parents, Don Fitzgerald of Wilson and Janie Mozingo Fitzgerald of Raleigh. Her sister, Meredith Taylor and husband, Kristian Taylor of Florida. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday at 3:00pm, at Highland Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NC Special Olympics of Wake County.
