Ken was one of my favorites. He was always smiling, always caring, always a wise advisor but most of all, always a Tarheel! May each member of his family find joy and comfort in the full life he led. This earth is better because he walked among us.

Ken was a good neighbor and friend not just to me but to my grand children also and my dog Bella. Ken would always tell Jeri, Bella was across the street waiting for her.
Ken will be missed not just by my family but so many more.

Ken was a wonderful friend to my late father, Harry Davis, when they worked together at the lab on Pivers Island. Always friendly whenever he passed you on the sidewalk, always a smile....RIP Ken. You will be missed.

Ken joined the Carteret Literacy Council as a volunteer tutor in October of 1986.
As a dedicated volunteer, he tutored numerous basic literacy and English as a Second Language adult students and children over his twenty-nine years.
He received his senior tutor certificate in October of 1987 for 40 hours of volunteer
tutoring, in February of 1994 his advanced tutor certificate for 150 hours of volunteer tutoring, and in February of 1998 his master certificate for 300 hours of volunteer tutoring.
He was dedicated to his students and ended up tutoring for over 500 volunteer hours.
Ken changed so many people's lives in ways we may never know about. I have a feeling you will be teaching in heaven.
Our deepest sympathy to your family.

Mr. Ken was a special man who made a huge impact in the lives of those he touched. Heaven has received one special angel. My thoughts, prayers, and love are with you all during this heartbreaking time. There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories. May you find comfort in family and friends, and keep all the wonderful memories of him close to your heart as you go forward with the days ahead. Love to you all.
