Kevin Copperwheat Obituary
Charlotte
Kevin R. Copperwheat, 44, of Charlotte, NC died March 21, 2015 in Apex, NC. Born in Rochester, N.Y.; he was the oldest son of Jon and Barbara (Owens) Copperwheat, of Apex. He is also survived by wife Angela and sons Timothy and Jason of Charlotte, brothers David (Clare) of Cary, Brian (Janet) of Raleigh, special nieces Mary, Macy, Katelyn, Hailey and Skye and other loving relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Apex Funeral Home on March 28, 2015 at 11 AM with receiveing of friends to follow. A full tribute and online guestbook at www.ApexFuneral.net

Kevin was like an older brother to me growing up in the old neighborhood. I have thousands of fond memories of the days and nights we all hung around together. He was a very good person. I am so sorry to hear the news of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Barbara, Jon and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Kevin. He was a wonderful friend to our sons Bryan and Steve when growing up in the Harvest Road neighborhood. I still think of him every Christmas when I make peanut butter blossom cookies from a recipe book written in his own hand in fifth grade. I hope your fond memories of him will help to give you peace. I don't even know where to begin.There are no words to express how sorry I am for the heartbreak you are going through.... My childhood would have never been the same without Kevin in it. Through High school, College, Marriages and Kids we found a way to stay in contact and reconnect when possible. It was always so great to catch up with him and his family and see how much his boys had grown up. It had been couple of years since I saw him last. I can't believe he is gone. I can't imagine what you all are going through. You are all in my heart and prayers. So so sorry for your loss. He will be missed so much.
