Louise F. Goldston, 83, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Sunrise of North Hills after a long and difficult battle with lung disease. She was born in Durham, NC on November 22, 1933, the only child of the late Vernon and Dorothy Freeman.

Louise was the devoted wife of James D. Goldston, Jr. (Jimmy) for 66 years. They eloped to Dillon, SC in 1950 at the early age of 16. She was always a stay-at-home Mom, helping Jimmy with his business and real estate. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and extended family, which she was so devoted to and wanted just to see happy. She was a lovely lady, with a beautiful smile and a heart of gold.

Louise is survived by her husband and four children: Jim Goldston and wife Agnes; Cindy Daniel and husband Richard; Margie Kidd and husband Wayne; LeeAnn Kelley and husband Rusty. Also seven grandchildren, Molly Goldston, Sarah Bryant, Dustin Daniel, Cameron Kidd, Katie Kidd, Megan Kelley, and Cody Kelley. "Mema" also is survived by seven great-grandchildren. She also left behind a very special "sister" by marriage, Doris Miller of Asheboro.

The Goldston family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to many special caregivers from Transitions LifeCare and Sunrise at North Hills. We do appreciate their loving care and support during these last few difficult months.

A service to celebrate Louise's life will be held on January 5th at 1 P.M. at Wakeminster Baptist Church, 13221 Old Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, with Pastor Merle Martin officiating.

Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall.
