Mary Keenan Obituary
Mary H. Keenan, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, joined God early Thursday morning.
She is survived by her mother, Frances Hicks of Tucson, AZ; son, Sean Keenan and his wife, Kristine of Jacksonvile, NC; daughter, Kelly Pittman and her husband. Brian of Raleigh; brother, Walter Hicks and his wife, Catherine of Tucson, AZ; sister, Judy Christenson and her husband, Lloyd of Tucson, AZ; a granddaughter, Caroline Keenan of Jacksonville, NC; and beloved by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel on 1701 East Millbrook Road in North Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made in Mary's name to the Mental Health Association of NC.

I remember Mary from... either from Middle school or high school. It was a once in a life encounter for me. And the memory that has visited me from time-to-time over the years. One day she came up to me somewhere in Rolling Hills I think (where we both lived at the time) . She walked right up to me on the sidewalk near where she lived, and with a huge smile, looked into my eyes (I was 6'6") and said: "Hi, Sam." That image has come to mind many times over the years. I will always remember her eyes. Incredible... Beautiful smile. May her memory be Eternal.

I was shocked to hear about the passing of Mary. My sincere sympathy goes out to the entire family, especially Kelly, Sean, Judy, Walter and Frances. I will always remember Mary's beautiful smile and great sense of humor. Just know that she is in a better place now and no longer suffering.

Sean and Kelly, my love and prayers go out to you and all of Mary's family. Although, we lost touch with one another, I will always cherish the memories with your family as you were growing up with Matt and Nathan. Your mom was a special person and friend. God Bless you and her.

Mary was an incredible spirit. She was one of a kind. So beautiful inside and out. She loved her family so much and never passed up a chance to brag about them. I loved exchanging pictures of our grandbabies with her. My heart goes out to her family. God bless you all. She is with God now and will always be watching down on you.

It worked with Mary at D&B. I am saddened and still in shock at the news of her passing. My thoughts, heart and sympathy go out to her family. Her personality was as unique as her sense of humor, which I miss. She was a very special person and will miss her deeply.

...I worked with Mary here in Tucson at Dun & Bradstreet. She was a wonderful, tell it like it is lady and was guaranteed to livin things up. Mary was loved and respected by many here in Tucson and will be sorely missed. She always bragged about her kids and grandkinds and displayed many photos (she was very proud of her family)...so, though I do not know the family personally, it almost feels as though I do.
My heart goes out to the family and friends of Mary Keenan... you have my condolences.

Mary will remain one of my favorite people I've ever known. She was smart, funny, thoughtful and always had me laughing. Mary we love you and you will be missed more than you could imagine.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Mary's death. I worked at D&B with her and we used to go to the Udall Park Rec Center to exercise together. I was very sorry to see her move away and am greatly saddened by her death. My heartfelt sympathies go to her family.

Mary, was someone that I worked with at DnB. She had a spirit about her that you just loved. We had a Holiday Party and she gave me a beautiful present that I will always cheerish. Her memories will be remembered in Tucson by the many friends she has.

Mary was my buddy here at work. She will be missed very much so. We always exchanged funny emails and picures,as well as opinions. We got to spend some time outside of the workplace at "get togethers". I have pictures of us together and will keep them always.
