Maxine Williams Morrow "Grandmommie," 87, of 113 Daniels Circle, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at the William Dunlap Hospice Center. Maxine was born in Greensboro on April 29, 1923 to the late Charlie Williams and Mabel Smith Williams. She was married to the late Harold Edwin Morrow on November 11, 1939. Mrs. Morrow was the retired manager of Apex Apparel Co, specializing in ladies swimwear.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597 with Reverend Bill Kincaid, Assistant Pastor of Central Baptist Church officiating.
Surviving: Daughter Pat Morrow of Wendell, Granddaughter Beth Tucker and husband, Wayne of Wilmington, Great-Grandchildren Michelle Jenkins, Ashley Tucker, Great Great Grandchildren John-Michael Tucker, Lauren Tucker, Haley Swinson, Brothers Bobbie Hicks of Summerville, Cecil Williams of Summerville.
In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Williams, and her sisters, Irene Parrish and Elsie Wilson.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home.
