Michael Shane Sanderford (Shane), of Raleigh,NC, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the age of 43.
Shane was a proud father and was very proud of his children's accomplishments. He was also passionate about nature, weather, and music. He loved to fish and enjoyed the beach. He had a green thumb and could make any living thing grow and blossom. Weather intrigued him and he was impressively knowledgeable in meteorology. Shane also played guitar and listened to music in depth. Music spoke to him and gave him joy. His contagious smile and laugh will be missed dearly.
Shane is survived by his children, Nicole Marie Sanderford and Erica Danielle Sanderford of Willow Spring, NC; his father, Ted Herbert Sanderford of Four Oaks, NC; and his sisters, Angela Danielle Warren of Durham, NC and Cynthia Sanderford Honeycutt of Four Oaks, NC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Jean Raper Sanderford of Raleigh, NC.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM to celebrate Shane's life and share sweet memories of him. Family and friends are invited to attend this celebration of life at Cornerstone Church, 11155 US Highway 70 West, Ste C, Clayton, NC 27520. The family is grateful for the condolences. Donations can be sent directly to the Cornerstone Church to help with burial expenses and his children, Nicole and Erica.

Shane could always make me laugh and smile..He always had a way of seeing the bright side of things. The world is a much sadder place with him gone. I truly loved that guy.
