Morgan Throckmorton Obituary
Raleigh
Morgan Sedale Throckmorton, 25, peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, October 8, 2012, at UNC-Chapel Hill Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family members and friends.
Morgan was born February 13, 1987 in Raleigh, and was the beloved daughter of Romie Kenneth Throckmorton and Karen Goode Throckmorton. She graduated from Cary High School and received a B.A. degree in psychology, with honors, from UNC-Wilmington. Prior to her illness, Morgan was pursuing a graduate degree in behavioral psychology at UNC-Wilmington.
Morgan is survived by her beloved brother, Jadrian Akins Throckmorton; grandmothers, Emily Rose Morgan Goode and Ann Williams; aunts, Sharon (Floyd) Laisure; Michelle (Johnny) McLean; and Sabrina Goode; uncles, Roger Goode; Gregory Goode (Jennifer); Robert Hunter (Saundra); and Ricky Daniels (Sandra). In addition, she is survived by her niece, Aliyah Walker; cousins, Maria, Jayden and Sean Laisure; MeKayla McLean; and Chase Morgan Goode; great-aunts, Lillian Alston (James); Anne McQueen (Creal); Joyce Morgan; and Jacqueline Shelton. Morgan also leaves a host of other relatives and cherished friends, including Team Throck, and her angel, Joe L'Homme.
The family would like to extend special thanks for the love and care given by Morgan's physicians' team, including Dr. William Fischer, Dr. Bert O'Neil, Dr. Karyn Stitzenberg and Tammy Triglianos, APRN, AOCNP.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oberlin Baptist Church, 806 Oberlin Road Raleigh, N.C. 27605.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if memorial contributions were made in Morgan's name to: UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Center for Colorectal Cancer Research, UNC-CH, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7295.

I worked with Morgan in Wilmington, NC at Circle of Courage Support Services, LLC. She was always a bubble of joy and smiles. I am happy to have had a chance to meet and know the wonderful Morgan. Her kind spirit will be missed. My condolences to the entire Throckmorton Family.

Karen, Romie, Jadrian, Rose and the rest of the family: We are so sorry to learn of Morgan's passing. You are and have been family for many, many years -- your pain is our pain, too, and we grieve with you.
Morgan is at peace with Jesus, but you will have to trust God to strengthen and sustain you now and in the difficult days ahead as He has during the time of Morgan's journey here on earth.
Know that we care and will keep you lifted to the Lord God in love and prayer.
