Dear Berry Clan,
I was a friend of Nathan at W-L. He apparently was exactly 2 months older than I, and was, as stated, a kind and gentle person. It was confirming to read about of his good citizenship, and fun to read of all his interesting hobbies of which I knew nothing about. Rest in Peace.

To the Berry clan, it saddened me to hear of Nate's untimely passing. He always had a kind heart and an easy smile, and spending so much time near your family growing up in Arlington I consider all of you to be family, and I mourn with you. I will always remember Nate's simple and genuine nature. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I was so sorry to learn of Nathan's passing. As an older sister of one of his childhood friends, I always found his wide eyed wonder at the world engaging. His creativity at keeping those around him amused was something to behold.

Such strong memories of Nathan when he came to visit and stay with his mom at Marian Manor (Va.Bch) He always had a piece of candy to share, when he and June came to Bible Study during his visits. I remember June excitingly telling me when he was coming to visit! It's always sad to lose a friend, but I know I will see him again one day! God Bless you, Nathan!

Heartfelt condolences to the Berry family on Nate's passing. I have very fond memories of growing up next door to the Berry clan, particularly of Nate who lead young charges on ad hoc adventures throughout the neighborhood. Whether it was hiking, biking, or rowing around the Potomac searching for fish we shared adventures and pondered all the things we didn't know. Nate was a rare commodity, a genuinely nice man that saw only the best in all of us.

So sad to hear the news of Nate's passing. He lived up the street from me in Arlington and we stopped by his house often. He was such a kind and gentle guy growing up and throughout HS at W-L. Condolences to his family. Our entire neighborhood group, Jim, George, Del, Steve, Kelly and the late Steve Bauer thought so much of him.
Rest in peace friend.

It is with my deepest condolences to the Berry family and a very heavy heart that I write this note after learning of Nathan's passing. I have known Nate and the Berry family for 50+ years, first meeting and becoming friends with Nate at Donaldson Run pool followed by delivering papers, Boy Scouts, attending high school at Washington-Lee and sharing a house with Nate in McLean. Nate was always a thoughtful, caring person who was a great friend. In looking through the wonderful pictures that have been posted, it reminded me of how special and kind Nate was. Nate's expressions in the photos bring back the wonderful memories I have of Nate's caring personality and easy-going disposition. Although I've not talked with Nate for quite some time I know the next time I see him, it will be just like old times. God Bless you Nate and rest in peace.

I worked with Nate at the post office. When we worked on tour three together we started going out on Sunday nights with some other friends from work. We would go fishing on my boat and a few times went to small lakes and fished from the shore. I started working tour two so Nate and I would go out or just talk on the phone every Sunday and Monday. He was a kind and very giving person. He would always offer me a soft drink or water when I would leave his house even if I already had one in my hand. Every time he went on a trip he would bring me and my wife something back. He even brought my grandson something back from one of his trips. He loved to travel. Maybe that is why he had so many facts and knowledge about so many things. I still have a message he left on my phone. I think I will save it to remind me of our calls on Sunday and Monday. I met Nates brother and two sisters this week. Nate talked about them alot. I felt like I already knew them by the pictures he showed me. My prayers are for all of them to give them strength at this time and to know that this big heart is with Jesus now.

I met Nate at the Raleigh PO almost 10 years ago. He was a very kind person. We spoke often about his family and his visits with his family. He would talk to me about his travels. He would even bring in photos to show me of his travels. We would talk about his fishing trips with his good friend Mark. Nate was a very knowledgeable guy. It was very nice to work with Nate over the years. Nate you will be missed. To the Berry family my thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless you Nate.
