Nelson McPhillimy Obituary

Nelson Bruce McPhillimy, 80, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Nelson was born August 17, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Helen Foster McPhillimy and Nelson McPhillimy.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Baerbel Lurkowski McPhillimy; his daughter, Christine McPhillimy Gallop; and his two grandchildren, Ryan Christopher Gallop and Hailey Maria Gallop; and his sister, Lois Esch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Nelson Bruce McPhillimy, Jr.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2:00 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue.
