In Loving Memory of Prem Mathur Maingi, of Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Maingi passed away peacefully at her son's home in Plainsboro, NJ on Thursday, January 24th 2019, surrounded by her loving family. All services are under the care and direction of Christine Cuoco of Ruby Memorial of New Jersey. Funeral Puja and ALL services will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at The Crematory at Holy Cross Burial Park, 840 Cranbury South River Road in East Brunswick, NJ (Jamesburg/Monroe).
Born in New Delhi, India to the late Roshan Lal and Saraswati Mathur, Mrs. Maingi came to the U.S. in 1970. She had a Masters degree in Chemistry, and last worked as a science teacher for the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, NC. She loved card and board games. She was also an enthusiastic singer and an avid artist.
Beloved wife of 56 years to Surinder Nath Maingi; Devoted and cherished mother to Rajesh Maingi and his wife Nola of Plainsboro NJ, and Shailesh Maingi and his wife Maureen of Raleigh, NC.
Cherished grandmother to Logan, Madeline, Abraham, Quinn, Emily, Spencer, Jillian, and AnnaMarie.
She is survived by four siblings: Mool Raj Mathur, Ramesh Mathur, Urmila Mathur, and Dolly Raja.

Mrs Maingi was me 2nd semester Science teacher @ East Millbrook Junior High in 1978 when I was in 8th Grade. Enjoyed her class and considered her a mentor when I needed one the most.

Dear Surinder,Rajesh, Sulesh and Family. This world is a little less bright today because a shiny star has gone back to heaven. Prem was among the most loving caring member of our community here in Raleigh. Her singing ,her jokes and her parties will always be part of our memories. Nobody left sweeter memories than Prem did. She was missed in the last Karva Chota and will always be missed as the only one who knew the story of Karwa Chota. She enjoyed our get together in Raleigh and was always very gracious and appreciative of the hosr's efforts. She was proud of her husband, her sons, her brothers and the whole family.
May God grant peace to her soul, and strength to live with this great loss to all of you.
