Rebecca Capps Obituary
Rebecca Johnson Davis Capps, 88, born June 4, 1912 passed away, Monday, April 16, 2001 at her residence. Mrs. Capps was a Warren County native born to the late Weldon T. Davis and Tommie York Davis.
Mrs. Capps was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church for 88 years where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She attended Blackstone College, Louisburg College and Nursing school in Raleigh.
Mrs. Capps was preceded in death by her husband, Amos L. Capps who died in 1979.
Rev. Steve Mullenix will conduct funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are five sons, Weldon Clinton Capps and wife, Betty Jean of Arcola, Lester D. Capps and wife,Elke of Warrenton, Amos Lee Capps, Jr and wife, Suzie of Henderson, TX, Robin W. Capps and wife, Monika of Warrenton, John L. Capps of Gastonia; daughters, Sylvia C. Green of Arcola and Rebecca Lynn Martin and husband, Michael of Arcola; sisters, Bettie D. Howell, Lucille D. Kidd and Lorraine D. Porter; brother, George W. Davis; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Conner; brother-in-law, Walter Kidd; grandchildren, Weldon C ""Chip"" Capps, Jr. and wife, Scott, Timothy G. Capps and wife, Karol, Jonathon D. Capps and wife, Carla, Rebecca G. Bower and husband, Bruce, William G. Greene and wife, Stacey, Christina Capps, Amos Drew Capps, Matthew Martin, Wesley Martin, Samantha Capps, Stewart Capps, Markus Striecks, Manuel Striecks and David Perry; great-grandchildren, Courtney Capps, Hannah Capps, Weldon T. Capps, Skylar Capps, Branson Capps, Kennedy Capps, Anton Striecks, Till Striecks, Joshua Culpepper, Caroline Bower, Meghan Greene, Adam Greene, Erika Perry, Jessica Perry and Victoria Perry.
Pallbearers will be Weldon C. ""Chip"" Capps, Jr., Timothy G. ""Tim"" Capps, Jonathon D. ""Davis"" Capps, Drew Capps, Robert Porter, John Bailey Porter and Perry Gaston.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton.
