Pittsboro, North Carolina - Rex D. Adams passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 84. He died peacefully at home in Fearrington Village, NC from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
Donations in Rex's honor can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and the Rex Adams Scholarship Fund at the Fuqua School of Business.

I am eternally gratefully for his faith and recognition in my (and my late wife´s) contributions to the Fuqua community. Rex was an amazing person, I am very lucky to have spent time with him.

Rex and I were never late for football practice but I am late in remembering a friendship that is still with me. Hopefully, he will save me a place on his new team. " Death is final, but relationships last forever."

As another Duke player from West Virginia, I quickly met Rex when he came my junior year. He told me he had a goal to become governor of WV one day. Seems his love for family and Duke was a bigger and better goal. Don Denne
