Richard King Obituary

Richard R. King

October 19, 1940 - February 24, 2025

Raleigh, North Carolina - Richard R. King, 84, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Raleigh, NC.

In his youth, Rick found excitement in drag racing cars. Later in life, he cherished camping trips with his family and was known for his quick wit and love of a good joke. Above all, he deeply loved his wife of 59 years, Carol, their children, and his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter, his parents, his stepfather, and his siblings.

A funeral service will be held on March 11, 2025, at St. Raphael Church.

Richard's legacy of dedication, curiosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Although I did not know Richard, I knew of his wife, Carol´s, devotion and caring for him. We are friends in a group. She has always spoken of Richard with respect and love.

Richard was a curious fellow and sharp when it came to technology. We discussed VWs and solved problems on these rear engined cars. He will be in my memory.
