Rita Giuli Obituary
February 1, 1940 - July 22, 2023
Raleigh, North Carolina - Rita Jane Giuli (nee Bergs), 83, died peacefully on July 22, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on February 1, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Roy Joseph Bergs and Dorothy Adelhaide (nee Knuese). Proceeding Rita in death was her loving husband, Dick; they were married for 51 years. She was the proud Mom of Donna (Michael) Johann and Anthony Giuli, and devoted Grandma to her three grandchildren whom she adored; Benton Giuli and Lauren & Dominic Johann. She is survived by her sister, Nancy (nee Bergs) Patneaude, living in Wisconsin; as well as twelve nieces; nephews; and many wonderful friends.
Rita attended Mount Mary University in Milwaukee. Rita was very artistic and loved gardening, doing crafts with her husband, and was an excellent cook. She was involved with various garden clubs in Raleigh earlier in her life. She was a very thoughtful gift giver. She loved Christmas and made her famous stollen and cookies for the family to enjoy. She loved discussing the details of the lives of her grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Renaissance Funeral Home 7615 Six Forks Road. Rita will be buried at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest. Memorial donations can be made to the SPCA of Wake County. Condolences: www.rfhr.com.
