Robert Frankenfield Obituary

Robert Madison Frankenfield, 78, peacefully passed away January 27, 2004.
He was born December 16, 1925 in Freeport, Ill to James Madison and Alice Mae Bean Frankenfield. Mr. Frankenfield served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII as a tailgunner on a B-29 Superfortress stationed on Saipan, Mariana Islands.
Mr. Frankenfield is survived by his wife of 57 years Goldie M. Roden Frankenfield of Garner; daughter, Suzanne M. Phillips of Cary; sons, Robert M. Frankenfield, Jr. of Cary and James E. Frankenfield of Raleigh; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 11:00 AM at Montlawn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at noon in the chapel at Montlawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ruth Sheets Adult Day Care Center, 228 West Edenton St., Raleigh, NC 27603 or Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Rd., Raleigh, NC 27605.
