Ronald Vaughn Obituary

Ronald Eric Vaughn was called home to Heaven on September 3, 2014. He went to be with the Lord peacefully, with family at his side in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Mae Kellam, step father John Kellam, father Joseph Palmer Vaughn and niece Tiffany Fackrell.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Cindi Vaughn, brother Gary Vaughn (Barbara), sister Carol Stewart, son and daughters, Brent Vaughn (Abby), Carlin O'Brien (Jimmy) and Tracie Tillett (Brent), and his grandchildren Chandler, Daniel, Caden, Riley, Mason and Kaylen.
Ron adored his wife, loved his children and grandchildren, had a beautiful sense of humor and never missed a Tarheels Game.
"The journey has ended, the battle won...love and peace reigns!"
A memorial of his life will take place at Greystone Baptist Church Sunday Sept. 7, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with family greetings starting at 3:00 p.m., 7509 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh NC 27615.

We only knew Ron as "Mr. Ron". My daughter Maggie has Down Syndrome and the highlight of her week was seeing Mr. Ron at McDonald's for breakfast every Saturday. He was always so kind to her and always delighted in seeing her. We were so sorry to hear of his passing. He is sorely missed.

Thoughts and Prayers to all of the family. We have heard wonderful stories of Mr. Vaughn. Witnessing his son Brent's deeds, actions and contributions confirms what a great man Mr. Vaughn is. Heaven rejoices.
