Roy Earp Obituary
Angier
Dr. Roy Lee Earp, 85, of Angier passed away this week peacefully in his sleep. He was born and raised in Angier by Roy Cornelius Earp and Myrtle Currin Earp and grew up to live in White Lake, Raleigh, and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. He served in the United States Navy and was educated at the Medical College of Virginia where he received a D.D.S. He then opened a private practice in Raleigh. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Lynda Turner Earp, his sister Angela Newton, his sons Jeffrey Lee Earp Sr. (wife Lisa) of Fuquay Varina and Scott Collins Earp (wife Stephanie) of Raleigh, four grandchildren, Lee Earp (wife Dawn) of Apex, Marlin Earp (of Fuquay Varina), Collins and Catherine Earp of Raleigh and three great-grandchildren Marie, Sydney, and Emerson.
Funeral services will be held at Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 30th at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr Earps passing, he was a sweet man and I remember him growing up at wrightsville beach, He would come in to the tax office in Wilmington and we would talk about the old WB and had a good time reliving memories, My condolences to all of your family and I am praying for peace and strength to you all. Have comfort in knowing that God is close to those who are brokenhearted. Because of God's love expressed through the ransom sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ, we can look forward to seeing our loved ones again. He keeps them all in his memory. Lynda we so sorry to hear about Roy passing. We thought so much of him and such a dear friend. Losing someone you love is one of the hardest things to accept. With out Christ to comfort you it is impossible. We will be praying for you during this difficult time. God bless you all.
