Durham, North Carolina - Tamara Jeanne Johnson, 66, passed away on January 23, 2025, in Durham, North Carolina. Her sisters Christine and Jan were by her side.
Born on March 8, 1958, Tamara lived a life marked by dedication to her work, traveling abroad and volunteerism.
Survived by her sisters Christine and Jan. Nephews Trevor and Todd, and nieces Angela and Jennifer. And lifelong friend, Liz.
Pre-deceased by her mother Ruth Stamets, father Robert McCracken, and her brother, Hal, whom she cared for for 20 years after he suffered a brain injury.

Our condolences from the staff at Las Olas Beach Club of Cocoa Beach, FL. We were blessed to know Tamara for over 30 years and her annual visits to our resort. Tamara was so kind, a beautiful person inside & out and always a joy to be around. We will miss her very much!
