Diane and I remember Thack well. In 1970, we moved to Tuckahoe to work for BWCo until they moved to RTP; the company graciously let us live in a house on the "campus." We had one apartment, Blenda Harper had the other beside us, and Thack had the second floor unit. I worked with him then for decades at Wellcome, especially after I left the lab and moved to HR. He and Barbara made a striking couple at company social events. A good, helpful, optimistic man. My sympathy for Barbara and his family.

Our deepest condolences to Barbara, Thack, Sofia and Edward. Barbara, when we were at Pensacola Beach, FL with the BW Field Staff Reunion, we saw you and Thack on the beach at sunset one evening, and remarked that the two of you made such a striking couple. He was standing behind you with his arms holding you and I thought, "what a loving couple"! Thack had such an outgoing personality n certainly was well suited for his Public Relations role at BW. Gail worked at BW as well and, like Thack, worked there for most of his working career. Any organization would have been fortunate to have him as an employee. He did a lot of good for numerous organizations. We know he will be sorely missed. We are so sorry for your loss!! With deepest sympathy... Lana n Gail Shrader, Raleigh, NC
