Thoughts of sympathy in your loss from the nurses of 6N-Neuro at New Hanover Hospital. May God comfort you in this time. It was truely a pleasure caring for Vernon and his family.

We all send our sympathy to Billie, Angella and Darin. We loved visiting with Dick. He was bigger than life itself and the most generous guy in the world. Sincerely, Al, Barbara, Diana, Jeanne, Carol and Jim

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever. His love for fishing and sharing will always be remembered. Most cherished are the times he took time to give my granddaughter Kelsey "tours" of his Debbie truck. Her arms were always full of treats as she would exit the rear of the truck and she always knew when to look for Mr. Vernon. We will all miss him terribly, as we always knew when the fish were biting good, he was all in a "dither" getting fishing gear down on the shore. He truly enjoyed this past time and visits with friends. Love to all.
