Walter David Ezzell, Sr., 91, of Kinston passed away at UNC Lenoir Healthcare, Sunday, December 2, 2018. Walter was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, antique cars and Lovicks Café. Walter was a member of Deep Run Church of God and was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents James Tate Ezzell and Elsie Summerlin Ezzell, wife Flonnie Mae Ezzell and son Jimmy Ezzell.

He is survived by his son Walter Ezzell, Jr and wife Stephanie of Raleigh, daughter-in-law Rebecca Ezzell of Kinston, grandchildren David Ezzell of Clayton and Heather Ezzell Weigand of Greenville, great-grandchildren Vivien and Henry; brother, Roy Ezzell and wife Carolyn of Turkey, NC; extended family, Betty Rouse of Seven Springs, Angela Thompson, Amber Bostick, Ryan Bostick and "Little Buddy" Tristen Bostick and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1:00pm with graveside to follow at Westview Cemetery with Pastors Melvin Brantley and Sam Jones officiating.

The family would like to extend appreciation to the caretaker family, Mauricia and Skip Wade, Sam and Lou Jones, Shelby Clark, Jenna Beceril, L.B. Jackson III, Shelia Rouse and Juanita Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deep Run Church of God, 2197 Liddell Road, Deep Run, NC 28525.
