Joann Marie Buechler
October 16, 1928 - February 22, 2007

Joann Marie Buechler of Chino Valley, Az went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2007, she was 78 years of age. She was born in Pilot Mound, Iowa October 16,1928. She graduated from Boone High School in 1946. Her first job was at the Boone Dairy.
She married the love of her life Darrell Buechler on March 4, 1948 and four children were born to them. They lived in several towns in Iowa, Minnesota & Kansas. They settled down in Phoenix, Az in 1957. She worked for Glendale H.S.; Maryvale H.S.; Shell Oil Co then in 1971 moved to Tucson, Az where she worked for Rincon H.S. and Catalina H.S. She was a beautiful Christian woman who loved being a part of the Body of Christ. She served her Lord Jesus and made life-long friends by singing in church choirs, teaching Sunday School, serving as President of ELCA women's groups and directing the candy striper volunteers at Maryvale Hospital. She lived out a strong faith and prayer life with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell K. Buechler; son Rodney Buechler; daughters Kathleen Champlin and Kimberly Devlin & her husband, Edward; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Carol Brown & her husband, Chuck; sisters-in-law Joanne Blosser; Lila Lee LeRoy and Jean Buechler. She was preceded in death by her parents; Frieda & Clarence Blosser, brother Kenneth Blosser and son Thomas Buechler.
A Celebration of Life and Faith will be held Saturday June 23, 2007 at 1 :OOpm at Swede Valley Lutheran Church & Cemetery, Odgen, Iowa.
