Cassidy Westervelt Obituary

Cassidy H. Westervelt
Aug. 15, 1995 - Sept. 30, 2017
Cassidy Westervelt, 22, of Roxbury, CT departed unexpectedly Saturday September 30, 2017. Her fiery character and magnetic personality are unforgettable.
She is the beloved daughter of Michele and Page Westervelt, treasured big sister and ringleader to Allan and Kyle. She leaves behind her high-school sweetheart and soul mate, Bryar Gollsneider in addition to numerous other family and friends including grandparents Sharon and Ed Benedict, and Allan Westervelt. She is a fur-mama to Rocky, Lexi and Bear.
Cassidy is a student at Western CT State University studying Criminal Law with aspirations of becoming a drug and alcohol counselor; and has enjoyed sharing laughs with colleagues and customers at Big Y in Bethel over the past three years.
An avid animal-lover, Cassidy was also known as the red-headed avenger. She stood up for what was right, tore down what was wrong, protected and championed those in need. Her unwavering love for children, family and friends was illustrated in her dedication to the Owens family of Southbury and their two children, her best buddies, Alex and Justy. Cassidy selflessly dedicated time and energy caring for the boys and supporting the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) in honor of Alex.
Cassidy wants you to know, flowers die and food spoils. If you want to honor her memory, please donate to CTF in her name:
