Christopher Sieber Obituary

Sieber, Christopher J.
Christopher John Sieber, age 48 of Norwalk, died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Peekskill, NY, the son of Helen (Curtis) and the late Dr. Arvid Sieber, he worked as a commodities broker, eventually founding his own brokerage firm, High Grade Trading.
In 2001, Christopher married his best friend and love of his life, Julia Gallagher Sieber and they raised 3 beautiful children; Griffin 12, Riley 11, and Samantha 7. He is also survived by his siblings: Steve (Claudia), Michael (Colleen), James (Mary) Sieber, Ellie Kohl (Ron), Mia Dudas (John) and Laurie Bates (Aaron), as well as many nieces, nephews, and his wife Julie's large and extended family.
Christopher was an avid gardener, taking after his grandfather, a Yankee and Rangers fan, and despite his family's attempted interventions, remained a steadfast Cowboys fan. Chris loved learning for learning's sake. Inspired by his father and following his passion for helping people, he recently earned his Nursing Degree from Fairfield University.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Monday, June 1 at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr . Conlon Place, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3 to 6 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. For directions or online guestbook, please go to: www.Magnerfuneralhome.com

I knew Chris at Holy Cross and lived on his hall. I remember him as one of the really good guys - mellow but funny, always good to be around. My sincere condolences to the Siebers, including Jim. 30 years later we from Healy 2 still remember Chris fondly. That says something about him.

I am so saddened to read about Chris' passing. I had the opportunity to get to know Chris at N.H. (although maybe not the best of circumstances, if you know chris, he never complainedhe was tough, he was strong and he was a privilege to take care of) I absolutely can see why he choose Nursing as a career, as his passion to help others was evident even as a patient. He was thoughtful and kind, always asking how everyone else was even when HE was and should be the priority. He was very well liked among the staff and I could see how much his family adored/loved him as well. He made the best out of every situation, even when he had to miss events and his college buddies would have to come visit him in his room instead, he was so excited He has inspired me to continue to be a better nurse. I'm so sorry for your families loss, I will be thinking of you all during this difficult time.
