Daniel was an exceptional person in my book. He always appeared to me to be even-tempered and gentle. I looked forward to my visits to the farm, as I knew my father did as well. Daniel indulged my Dad and I, allowing each of us to be a guest, the "star" of the show. I will remember him always and with love.

I was saddened to hear of Daniel's passing. I have many fond memories of working at the Garden Center (and before that for Russell and Alice at the farm) and there isn't a time I drive past the place without thinking of the Gerow family. Daniel was truly one of a kind and he is missed. With love and prayers, Jay.

Dan Gerow was a wonderful man, a mentor, and a loyal friend. The Gerow Garden Center provided flowers and beautiful greenery to my family for decades. Dan was invovled with me in the Savings Bank of Danbury Corporators group, and he helped me understand bank management. I worked with him at Gerow Cementary where he now will rest in peace. Many hearts were touched by this one special life. May the light of his soul shine forever. Gary Kurz and Nancy Kurz

A true icon of New Fairfield. Mr. and Mrs. Gerow were always so kind to me. I spent hours with Mrs. Gerow. She always dropped what she was doing and spent the day with me. Most of the time she had no idea that I was coming. I would stay till Mr. Gerow came home. Love both of you dearly. May God place you in the rose garden in heaven. Such a wonderful and soft spoken gentleman that made a huge impression on a little kid. Rest in Peace. <3

I have been the Treasurer of Gerow Cemetery for over 10 years. Working with Dan has been one of the greatest work experiences I've had. Dan was such a sweet man. He showed me the right way to be a Treasurer. New Fairfield has just lost one of their greatest.

RIP Danny -- You were a wonderfully kind and generous man. I loved working at the garden shop and hope you knew how much I appreciated the fact that you had me work up front and gave me my first sales position. Your integrity and dedication to serving the customers' needs was the foundation to my own successful retail career. That passion for service and caring for plants and living things continues today and will live forever in those you encountered. You were a true gentleman. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and friends.

Dan, you will always live in my heart. I'll see your wry smile, and hear you tell us a story about Croswell. When I think of the hills of Connecticut in fall, winter, spring or summer, I'll think of you.
