Deborah Profeta-Smith Obituary
Deborah Ann Profeta-Smith, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family on June 23, 2016. She joined her parents that passed before her, John and Margaret Profeta as well as in law parents Margaret and Joe Smith.
Growing up, Debbie was the drum major for the Brookfield Drum Corps. She also enjoyed spending time with her horse Trigger, and was very active in sports at Brookfield High School. She graduated with the class of 1975.
Later in life Debbie spent much of her time volunteering, leading Girl Scouts troupes, summer camps, Red Cross training, and the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp founded by Paul Newman. She also participated in the choir at Our Lady of the Lakes. During the summer she enjoyed camping and boat trips with her sister Donna.
She is survived by husband Michael; children: Joe, Ann Marie and Chris, Tom and Tara, six grandchildren: Brynn, Caitlyn, Emma, Fern, Jeffrey and Warren, and her siblings Donna, Denise John and Marie.
In keeping with Debbie's spirit of giving, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until the time of the service. We will share stories and memories to celebrate Debbie's life.

I grew up with Debbie and was in the Brookfield Drum Corps and High School with her..My prayers and condolences to all of the family members, those I remember and those I have never met..She will always be in my mind in her Drum Corps attire with her baton leading us on..
