The first time I heard your music was on vacation in NYC at a restaurant in the ESB. I was immediately drawn in. I "asked Siri" and it led me to you. Thank you Mr. Hooker for your contributions to life and music.

Don was a good friend.
He loved music, especially "Hearts of Space". His holiday was Ground Hog's Day above all others. He loved the family camp in Maine.
He will be missed.

DR and I have been friends for over 30 years. I was proud to stand as best man at his wedding. We worked and played together in a few bands and even toured with our own duo "Eclectic Madley". We were roommates for a while and we even vacationed many times at his beloved family camp in Maine. There we collaborated on what was to become his "Rain on the Moon" album. Music was your passion and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of it and even more for being my friend through all these years. You were quite a character, I will miss you and, as you would say.... "be seeing you". Ty

I was privileged to call DR a friend. I played in his band for quite a while and arranged and produced his last album "Rain on The Moon". I had hoped to get together with him soon. I was recently re-married, moved and was rebuilding my home and studio and my life so I've not had time to contact many people. I will miss him. He's still someone we speak about at parties and it always brings a smile to our faces. Very talented. Loveable. I'll always be your friend DR. Till we meet again...save me a spot. Corky

I grew up in the house that was built behind the Hookers little red house on Chestnut ridge. My Grandmother (Jane Young) and Marge were friends /neighbors since the early 60's.
D.R. was a few years older than me, but he took the time to toss a frisbee with me once in a while. My friends and I would sit on the corner of Cannon and Chestnut and do the things teenagers did while we listened to the band practice in the garage. I continually have dreams of the property that we shared. The little pond/swamp and skating. They were good times and the Hookers were good people.
I can understand how his music was important. The area and people of that time were all a big part of my life.I am sorry for you loss. Also sorry that Marge passed recently too. Thanks for the memories!
