Doreen Spruill Obituary

Doreen L. Spruill Doreen L. Spruill, age 50, of Danbury, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Melvin Spruill. Doreen was born March 11, 1957 in Danbury, the daughter of Alice (Azar) Tawyea of Danbury, and the late Harry A. Tawyea. A life long resident, she graduated from local schools, and was most recently employed as a certified nurses aide in the home healthcare field. She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church, Danbury. In addition to her husband and mother, Doreen is survived by three step daughters, Natasha, Heather and Stacy Brown, all of Danbury; two sisters, Donna Kayser and Christine Banks, both of Danbury; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18, at St. James Episcopal Church, Danbury at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martha Klein-Larsen as celebrants. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will recieve friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to Regional Hospice of Western CT, 405 Main Street, anbury, CT 06810.
