Edward C. Laska

Edward C. Laska Edward Charles Laska, age 61 of New Milford, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Bethel Health Care, Bethel, after a year long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Marie Mollica Laska. He was born in Port Chester, N.Y., November 22, 1946, son of the late Edward A. and Georgia Manstream Laska. He worked as an accountant most of his life and was an avid golfer and bowler. In addition to his wife of 42 years, he is survived by his son, Stephen E. Laska of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; two daughters, Cheryl Dee of Bethel and Kristen Smith of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; brother, Gary Laska of Middlebury; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Jimmy, Dan, Nick and Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Bethel, Friday morning at 10. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY, Friday at 12:30. The family will receive friends in the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Thursday evening from 5 to 8.
