James "Jim" Staib passed away in his home on Sept. 25, 4 days after his 88th birthday. Immediate family members are his beloved wife of 67 years, Yvonne (Barrett); son, Jim Jr. (Corinne) and daughter Pam (Paul) Danisiewicz; and grandchildren Nicole (Kelsey Holewka), Cole Cibu, Erik, and Abigail Staib. Jim retired as an engineer from SNET / AT&T after many years of service and then found a second career at Avis, retiring a second time just before his 80th birthday. Jim was a hard worker and a wonderful provider and will be missed by his family and friends. Services will be private for the family; there are no calling hours. My condolences to the Staib family. Jimmy was a wonderful friend to me and my family over the years. We shared much fun with Jim, Yvonne and his lovely family. We will always enjoy the memories of the Staib family with Yvonne, Kitty and Pats families. Rest in peace my friend.

Rest in peace my Brother-in-law. We had many good times from tin cans tied to your bumper. Lime Rock races, New York car shows, and Yankee games. Zuppa da Clams at midnight 0n Labor Day at our house. Pizzas on the grill. Your favorite many good times. JoAnn and I will miss you. Rest in Peace.
