Gardner, Jay
Jay A. Gardner, 71, of Mountain Top, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012, at home. Born in Gilford, Conn., he was the son of the late Janice Sanger and Walter Gardner. Jay was a graduate of Bridgeport Engineering Institute, he served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from IBM East Fishkill, New York, and Fairchild Semi-Conductor, Mountain Top.Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Lois ( Very ) Gardner, Mountain Top, son Marc Gardner and his wife Courtney, Odenton, Maryland, daughter Jamie Gardner Wadowsky and her husband Jeffrey, Pittsburg, Pa., six grandchildren, Colin and Shea Gardner, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Mackenzie, and Alexis Wadowsky, his mother-in-law Anna Overfield Very, brother Kenneth Sanger, sister Mary Lou Morgan, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 27th, at 1 pm, at Christ United Methodist Church, 175 S. Main Rd., Mountain Top, with the Pastor Stephen Sours officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the service at the Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, Pa. 18707, have been charged with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Mountain Top Ambulance Association.
